EB’s & 326 Celebrate 75 years of the Original Farmers Market

Throughout these uncertain times EB’s and 326 beer & wine, world famous bars of the Farmers Market, remain a welcome spot to meet and relax. Friends, neighbors, regulars and out of town visitors can always be found chatting or in deep conversation while sharing a bottle of wine or a pitcher of delicious beer. Whether it’s to watch a sports game on one of the big flat screen TV’s, check out some awesome live country music, sing karaoke or simply enjoy a cold beer and observe the colorful Market folk, EB’s and 326 offer the widest and most affordable selection of beer and wine in town.

This year the Original Farmers Market celebrates its 75th anniversary and as usual Farmers Market bars are party central. EB’s continues to present live country music every Saturday evening with Ranch Party, and the Friday night Karaoke Hoedown, hosted by Todd B, is still proving to be the most popular in town.

Summer Sports

Summer sports season is upon us and there is no better place to enjoy all the games than the Farmers Market Beer & Wine Bars. EB’s, on the West Patio and 326, at the very heart of the Market, both have big flat screen TVs so you won’t miss a single play. For the best in American beer and wine 326 cannot be beaten for selection or price and starting with March Madness all draft beers will be $3.50 a pint during the games.

For those who prefer imports EB’s serves some of the most varied, interesting and affordable beers and selected wine in town. Locals and new comers have been raving about many of the newer wines, such as the Francis Coppala imported collection and the California Heron selection. On tap EB’s are proud to include Well’s Bombardier, full-bodied English ale, and the ever-popular Franziskaner Weiss beer from Germany.

Best of all, EB’s will also be serving $3.50 pints during March Madness games.

Karaoke Hoedown

Most other bars and clubs in town would no-doubt find all this enough to keep their customers happy, but not the Farmers Market Bars. The folks at 326 & EB’s are forever presenting the best in live country music every Saturday evening. The show is called Ranch Party and is occasionally broadcast live on radio KXLU, hosted by LA’s number one country DJ, Cowboy Nick.

To celebrate the original Farmers Market’s 75th birthday celebrations EB’s Beer & Wine presents the “Karaoke Idol” contest. The competition begins Wednesday June 17, 7 - 10PM, on EB’s West Patio stage, and will continue the following Wednesday nights, June 24 through July 8th. Host DJ Todd B, a special guest panel and, of course, the audience will judge the singers performances. Three winners will be chosen each week and invited to compete in the Grand Final on July 15. The twelve finalists will sing two songs each and eventually be narrowed down to the winner. There will be prizes for all contestants and a grand prize for the Karaoke Idol.

Farmers Market Karaoke is always fun both for performers and the audience. With the warmer weather more and more folks are coming out to enjoy some of the best free entertainment in town. So be early and come on over to EB’s Beer & Wine for an ice cold brew or choose from the excellent selection of imported wine and get ready for Karaoke Idol 2009.
