Karaoke Idol is back for another season at the Original Farmers Market, 3rd & Fairfax.

Last summer, celebrating the Market’s 75th birthday, EB’s Beer & Wine hosted a month long Karaoke contest with weekly winners competing in the ultimate sing-off finale. The judges voted Rocco Di Noble, EB’s Karaoke Idol 2009, but now it’s time to pass the Karaoke crown to a new winner as EB’s announces Karaoke Idol 2.

The competition begins Wednesday August 4th, between 7 and 10.30PM, on EB’s West Patio stage, and will continue the following Wednesday nights, August 11, 18, and 25. Host DJ Todd B, a special guest panel and, of course, the audience will judge the singers performances. Three winners will be chosen each week and invited to compete in the Grand Finale on September 1st. The twelve finalists will sing two songs each to highlight their best karaoke performances. There will be prizes for all contestants and a grand prize for EB’s Karaoke Idol.

Farmers Market Karaoke is always fun both for performers and the audience. With the warmer weather more and more folks are coming out to enjoy the best free entertainment in town. So, be early and come on over to EB’s Beer & Wine for an ice cold brew or choose from the excellent selection of imported wine, and get ready for Karaoke Idol 2010.

Live Music

Every summer the Market presents outstanding local and world famous artists. These last two years, 326 and EBs’ Beer & Wine, collectively known as Farmers Market Bars, have upped the ante. With EBs’ steadily at the helm, FM Bars’ Saturday night Ranch Party country showcase, and Wednesdays’ Karaoke Hoedown, have the crowds begging for more, week after week, rain or shine. Wine Tasting
Due to the success of last spring's wine festival, it is clear that local wine drinkers have a discerning palate, and are on the lookout for the next new thing.

With this in mind EB's will host tastings on the first Friday of every month, to introduce new, hand-picked discoveries. And unlike those other stuffy wine tasting events, EB's makes theirs laid-back and fun by pairing wine and hors d'oeuvres, with the best free, live entertainment in town. Can there be a better way of test-driving a new chardonnay?
